We are taking part in the Big Walk and Wheel event again this year and are encouraging everyone to make sustainable journeys to school. Families are walking, cycling, scooting and skating their way every monring! 

A "Walking Bus" is setting off each morning at 8.30am from The Cliff Sports Stadium and making its way around Seacourt to school. All those who join will be entered into a special prize draw - so make sure that you get your bus ticket! 

Taking part in the challenge helps our children (and adults!) be more active and feel energised first thing in the morning. It also helps the environment by cutting down on car journeys. It might also help us win prizes for our school! 

The Big Walk and Wheel campaign will continue until 4th April.

Do you have a child who is due to start Nursery or P1 in September 2025? Then, come and join us at Corran IPS! 

The online application process for Pre-school and Primary One places will be open from 12 noon on Friday 10th January until 12 noon on Friday 24th January.  We have 26 spaces available in our Nursery and 29 spaces in P1. From September 2025, we are delighted to offer full-time Nursery places!

We have been celebrating Harvest in school with a special assembly full of wonderful singing and impressive presentations. Important guests from Broadways Nursing Home and Larne Foodbank came along to join us as well as some members of our Board of Governors. 

Every class took part in the service: 

• P1 told us about the beginning of the world
• P2 sang a specially written Harvest song (penned by our own Mrs McGarry!)
• P3 explained the journey of a potato from the fields to our forks
• P4 talked to us about creating a peaceful world 
• P5 performed "Beautiful World"
• P6 explained the meaning behind Harvest
• P7 performed a rap about the importance of eating your vegetables! 

Rev Moore from the Church of Ireland helped us to say a thanksgiving prayer and Mrs Morrow from Larne Foodbank gave us an update on how many local families have been helped because of food donations. 

Our Corran families were very generous again with their donations for the Foodbank.
